SoSS #141 R is for RIP

This week's challenge was a challenge for all of us. RIP is it rip one or R.I.P (rest in peace) I wonder how each sistah took the challenge or how you will??

Me? I went with rest in peace, sort of. 

For the inside, I can't decide if I want the ghost in it or not. Now I haven't actually made a base this time, but the parts can go down easy enough when I need it for someone's birthday.

SoSS #138 B is for the Birds & the Bees

This week's challenge is B is for the Birds and the Bees. I tried to find a funny quote that my sisters had not used and that was impossible. My brain was not working on it's own. LOL

I chose to do an art journal page for this challenge.

I started with the Dyalog pre-printed journal pages. 

Then went from there, LOL. I did find the sentiment online.

SoSS 136 F is for Family

This weeks challenge is F is for Family.  I am so so on this card but it works and I did the it. LOL  I think I was running out of steam when I did this one, or was at a crop but had to leave for a baby shower.. I think that was it.

Unfortunately I did not write down the supplies, or sketch or anything. LOL  The image and the sentiment are Dylusions.. that much I know. Pretty sure I used Dylusions paint pens to colour her in as well.

SoSS #135 I is for Ironmongery

This weeks challenge for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is Ironmongery.. just our fancy way of saying Steampunk. I love steampunk, recently got a steampunk tattoo and adding to it in a couple of weeks.

The original plan was to finish a dressform but I didn't get it finished..as you can see I didn't get very far working on it. I actually have taken the "skirt" apart several times.  I will continue and hopefully have it done by the time we decide to do this challenge again. :)

I had started a mixed media canvas at the same time, it is easier to work on it a little bit at a time so it did get completed.  I was going to put some sort of quote/statement//saying on it, but there really isn't any room and it doesn't really need it. Now looking at it..I think it needs more.. so I will be filling in the gears and stuff over the summer as the mood strikes me.

I can't even tell you what I used on it.. some Tim Holtz stuff, some prima, and other bits and pieces. The image is a Kenny K design.. I am so sad that they decided to close their business but it made sense for them. I love all of their images and if I could have afforded it I would have bought them all. :)

SoSS #134 W is for What the &*%#

This week's challenge had me stumped for a a bit and then I thought why not do an interesting art journal page. Those are always an interesting mix of items in a collage. 

So I pulled out my yet to be used preprinted background dyalog book and then found a magazine I had a duplicate of. I did pull out 2 other images but this Chris Pratt one got my thoughts going.. you know add a mermaid tail and some butterfly wings and you get an "What the &*%# !! 

To make matters more like that I ended up putting it in upside down, d'uh.  

I colored all the images with liquid sprays in water pens (I have almost all of the colors in the water pens, just waiting for an order to come in to finish the set).

SoSS 133 N is for Nerd

SoSS #132 K is for Karma

This weeks challenge is K for Karma. I love karma and I try to live my life that way.. whatever I put out into the universe comes back threefold. Always keep that in mind.

I had this image partically colored and gave up. Today I decided that it was salvageable and went for it. Really I thought I messed up the hair but it doesn't really look that bad. It was so long ago that I had started with my copic markers.. which I sold about 5 years ago.. and finished with my chameleon markers.

SoSS #131 U is for Unicorn

It is time for another challenge with the sisterhood.   Unicorns seem to be everywhere, except when you need that embellishment or stamp. LOL

I actually love how this card came out, it even looked great before I added the unicorn to it.

I picked out the sentiment before the layout and thought this suited a unicorn. So I took a piece of white paper and just flicked some Dylusions sprays on to it and then looked for the sketch.
